It was a perfect day had by all. The volunteers came out in force and we were blessed by perfect waves and weather. All of our participants were able to enjoy a beautiful, safe, fun-filled day at Croatan Beach. All of this was made possible thanks to our partners, Aimee Rhodes and Cindy Stokes the Wahine Surf Club who rallied our volunteer core, VB Surf sessions who provided professional surf instruction and surfboards for the event, The Surfrider Foundation’s VB chapter, Gordon Biersch for our yummy lunch, Covered Inc. who provided our event T’s, Brandon Bower who’s live music set the mood, The Filipino Nurse’s Association for keeping everyone safe, The Green Flash Brewery for our afterparty, and Robbie Hickman from Hickman photography, Kirk Keller-Halls with High Tide imaging for the drone footage, and Rico Marcelo, who all caught the action and the smiles with beautiful photos and thrilling video.
